Because Painted Is Pretty
Edie over at Life In Grace is having a painting party and I love parties. Especially ones at Edie's house, she's a great cook! Even though my current paint redo is not as impressive as hers it is still exciting! This is what my painter husband has been painting for my birthday! Yes I know, it is just trim. But it was a great gift!

I know it is dark- just too much sunshine streaming in- but there are windows under there.

This is the last project I painted- and thank heavens I decluttered.

And this is the item I'd love to paint but I'm scared- I mean it's a piano. Do you paint pianos?
Don't forget to check out Life In Grace.

Kelly,
What do mean, it's just trim? Those doors are fantabulous! As is EVERYTHING in your house. I love it all and YES you paint pianos! I'm looking for an old one to paint and restore myself.
Thanks so much for linking up with us!
Have a great day....and just when am I gonna see you again my dear?
Hugs and much love,

Looks great! I am now thinking about relocating my old piano from my parents house to ours and painting it!
Hey Kelly! I love this post! I say go for it!! I'm sure it will look great!!!
If you figure out that piano thing, let me know. I have one that could certainly use it!
Looks to me like your husband is a GOOD painter! Those doors and trim look great! Love the rest of your work too!
And yes, you can paint a piano! We've done it you can see it here!It may be a little colorful for some, but we love it!
I say GO FOR IT! Paint the Piano!! I have seen some REALLY pretty painted pianos.
I just stumbled across your page from the party, but Yes! you can paint pianos. I worked at an art center, and we once had a whole fundraiser around artists' painted pianos!
Why not paint the piano? What color are you going to paint it? :)
hey Kelly, thanks for looking at my blog! my mom told me you and Edie have one, but I forgot all about it. hope you're doing well, tell Ryan I said hello!
I know that I sound like someone's parrot, but I LOVE THOSE DOORS! Great job on the cabinet too.
I don't know about pianos, I'd be nervous too!`
Oh PLEASE post pics of your painted piano when you get thru with it, I have an old one at my mothers that i love dearly and she keeps reminding me to pick it up but the wood is terrible!! I have never seen a painted piano so let keep me updated!! :)
You can paint anything!! Go for it!
DO NOT paint your piano. It will change the accoustics. Especially do not strip and sand it. It will ruin your piano. I had our piano professionally restored (from 1905). The guy that did it was old and in retirement - I was very lucky to get him. He was very experienced and came highly recommmended and he told me not to strip or paint a piano. Paint a bench instead and get a piano scarf. I hope that helps. ~Page
